FIFA Presidential Election 2011, FA Abstain. English Football Association, FA states take a stand abstained in the Presidential election which took place June 1 FIFA later. That attitude is taken as a form of resistance against FIFA is still tangled in corruption scandals in the determination of the World Cup host.


"The FA have agreed to abstain in a vote of the president of FIFA. There are many things related to issues of recent months which makes it difficult to support among the candidates," said FA chairman, David Bernstein as reported by the BBC.

Even so, the FA will continue to play an active role through its representation in the two lembara international soccer, UEFA and FIFA to bring changes and improvements in world football. "We will continue to work hard to bring any changes that we think will benefit all international football," he said.

As is known, on June 1, 2011, FIFA held a leadership election that institution. Current FIFA President, Sepp Blatter challenged Asian Football Federation chairman, Mohamed Bin Hammam. Sepp Blatter who has been a very long time occupied the position of President of FIFA is expected to win re-election
